Toddler Valentine’s Day Gift to Love

We are still stuck in the house with lingering coughs/congestion which always seem worse at night. We are watching way too much kids television and I’m struggling to stay positive. I had this whole ambitious plan for Cecy this month that involved fun, educational daily activities, but we just aren’t doing it. Sometimes I know I’m not even being that nice. Seriously, how do you teach a 2-year-old to stop coughing on their newborn sister without losing patience. I need tips!

As I struggle to regain motivation to reach our reading goals, I just want to share a little book we bought for Cecy to help her remember family members, especially her aunts and uncles who live in different time zones.

The All About Me! personalized photo book is a soft book that you can put up to 9 of your favorite pictures in. It comes with labels to identify the people your little ones love the most. I think it makes a great Valentine’s Day gift! We found ours at Lakeshore Learning (here).

Finally I’ll share a little self-motivation to be the patient and loving mom that I know I can be (from the Gospel reading at our wedding):

Colossians 3: 12-14 “Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, bearing with one another and forgiving one another, if one has a grievance against another; as the Lord has forgiven you, so must you also do. Over all these put on love, that is, the bond of perfection.”
